Privacy Policy

wrap ("we", "us", "our") is published by Intellekt LLC and operates the wrap mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The App is fully playable as a guest — most of what follows only applies once you choose to sign in.

What we collect

Account information

Sign-in is optional. The App can be played fully as a guest with no account. If you choose to sign in, you can use either:

• Sign in with Apple — we receive your Apple ID email (or a private relay email if you hide your email) and the display name you provide.
• Sign in with Google — we receive your Google account email and display name.

We do not collect passwords. Authentication runs through Firebase Auth, backed by Apple's and Google's identity services.

Profile data

Signed-in accounts have a profile consisting of:

• A display name shown to friends and opponents (sourced from your sign-in provider; you can change it).
• A unique @username set once on first sign-in.
• A rotatable friend code you can share to add friends.
• An optional avatar (your sign-in provider photo, if any).

Game data

• Game records — every completed game (mode, moves, winner, timestamp) is associated with your account. Online games are also visible to your opponent. Pass-and-play and AI games stay local to your device unless you sign in.
• Friends graph — who you've sent or accepted friend requests with, and who you've blocked. Blocking is silent to the other side.
• Daily puzzle attempts — your completion time on each day's puzzle, used for the global percentile and the friends leaderboard.
• Lifetime stats — aggregate wins, losses, streaks, and per-mode breakdown derived from your game records.

Device information

• APNs device token — used to send push notifications when it's your turn in a friend game or when a friend request arrives. You can opt out per-category in Settings.
• Basic device metadata (iOS version, app build) for debugging and crash reports.

Purchase history

If you subscribe to wrap pro, we record the App Store transaction receipt to confirm and renew your subscription. We do not have access to your payment method — Apple handles all payment details.

How we use it

• Run the service — sync online games between devices, deliver moves, and keep your stats consistent across sessions.
• Power social features — show recent games on your home screen, render head-to-head stats with friends, surface the friends leaderboard on the daily puzzle (wrap pro).
• Send notifications — alert you when a friend has moved or sent a request. Opt-out per category in Settings.
• Improve the game — anonymised usage data helps us tune difficulty, debug crashes, and decide what to build next.
• Prevent abuse — enforce the free-tier daily play cap, the content filter on usernames and display names, and the rules in our Terms.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to run wrap:

• Firebase Auth (Google) — manages Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — delivers push notifications to your device.
• Apple App Store — handles purchases and subscription billing.
• Hosting provider — our game server runs on managed Kubernetes; data is stored in PostgreSQL operated by us.

Each service handles data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

Data retention

While your account is active, we retain your profile, game records, friends graph, and stats. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account in the App, or by emailing us. When you do, we delete:

• Your profile, username, friend code, and avatar URL
• Your friend graph (requests, friendships, blocks)
• Your game records, daily puzzle attempts, and lifetime stats
• Your device tokens and notification preferences

Games you played against another user remain visible to the other side as their own history (with your name shown as "deleted player"), since the game record is shared between participants. Backups are purged on our normal rolling schedule, typically within 30 days.

Your rights

• Access — view your games, friends, and stats directly in the App.
• Delete — remove your account and all associated data from Profile → Account, or by email request.
• Export — email us to request a copy of your data.
• Object — opt out of push notifications per category in Settings. Stop using the App at any time.

Data security

• HTTPS encryption for all traffic between the App and our servers
• Firebase-issued JWTs verified server-side on every request
• Rate limiting (30 requests per minute per IP) to prevent abuse
• Content filtering on username and display name at write time

Children's privacy

wrap is rated for ages 4+ on the App Store and contains no objectionable content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be surfaced in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
