Gameplay

How does the wrap work?

The board is a flattened torus — a donut shape. The right edge connects to the left, and the top connects to the bottom. Every cell has exactly four neighbors, including the ones that wrap around. The most surprising case is the four corners: they're a single 2×2 block that spans the seam. The in-app tutorial shows the donut unfolding into a flat grid so the wrap stops feeling like a trick.

How do I win a game?

Form a "quad" — four cells of your mark in a valid group. Valid groups include rows, columns, 2×2 blocks, and any group that wraps across the edge. As soon as a placement completes a winning group, the game ends instantly. In Stack mode (two layered boards), an octet of eight cells wins instantly; if neither side hits an octet, the player with the most quads at the end wins.

What's Stack mode?

Stack mode plays on two 4×4 boards layered together — a cell on the top layer is adjacent to the same cell on the bottom layer. It's free for everyone and available from day 1 in the Mode toggle on the New Game sheet. The first time you pick it, a short intro animation walks through the cross-layer adjacency before the game starts.

How do friend games work?

Start a new game and pick "Friend" as the opponent. The app prints a short code on your screen. Send the code to your friend (text, chat, share sheet — anywhere). They type it into the Join Game field on their home screen and land directly in the match. The game is async — make a move whenever, the other side gets a push notification when it's their turn.

I can't enter my friend's @username — what's wrong?

@usernames are exact-match only. There's no fuzzy or partial search. Double-check spelling and case (usernames are lowercase), and make sure the user has finished setting their handle on first sign-in. If you still can't find them, ask them to send you their friend code instead — it's also rotatable, so it's safer to share than a permanent handle.

Account & subscription

Do I need to sign in to play?

No. wrap is fully playable as a guest. Sign-in (Apple or Google) is only required for online features — friend games, ranked play, the daily puzzle leaderboard, and cross-device sync of your game history and stats.

How much is wrap pro?

$1.99 per month or $14.99 per year. The yearly plan is 37% off the monthly rate. Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple through the App Store.

What does wrap pro unlock?

Unlimited plays (no daily cap), ranked online with ELO and monthly seasons, speed-round (live real-time matches), the full daily puzzle archive, and the friends leaderboard on the daily puzzle completion screen. wrap pro does not unlock different themes, AI difficulties, hints, or stats — those are all free.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Manage your subscription through iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the App Store under your profile. We can't cancel a subscription on your behalf. Cancelling before the next renewal keeps wrap pro active until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to process refunds directly.

How do I delete my account?

Open the App → Profile → Account → Delete account. The app will confirm before permanently removing your profile, friend graph, game records, daily puzzle attempts, and lifetime stats. If you can't access the app, email us and we'll handle it manually. See Delete your account for the full steps, or the Privacy Policy for what's removed and how long backups take to purge.

Notifications & bugs

I'm not getting push notifications.

Check iOS Settings → Notifications → wrap and make sure notifications are allowed. In-app, Settings → Notifications lets you opt out per category (friend's turn, friend request, etc.). If the toggles look right and you're still not getting them, try signing out and back in to refresh your device token, then contact us if it persists.

My online game seems stuck.

Pull down on the game screen to refresh. If your opponent hasn't moved in 7 days, the game auto-forfeits in your favor. If the game still seems frozen after a refresh, try closing and reopening the app, or contact us with the game code so we can take a look.
